Look at this gorgeous little girls room makeover from A Sort Of Fairytale! Interior design was my major in college and I have loved it since I was a little girl so to see a beauty like this makes my heart flutter. This room just makes me happy and cozy she did a beautiful job!

Then Mary over at Ms. Redo had such a romantic story about her and her husband's 20th Valentine Anniversary. She is a dear sweet friend and their story is just precious.

I apologize for missing the party last week. The baking for the cafe has gone from one item a week to six so I don't have much time to blog and I miss it so much.

Corners of My Studio With Birds and Blossoms Boutique and Design

I haven't written a post on my studio in a long time and I wanted to show you a few items I inquired from one of my favorite shops on Etsy Birds and Blossoms Boutique and Design. My dear friend Mandi is the proprietor of this gorgeous shop and she is such a wonderful lady! She makes blocks, frames, bunting banners, gift tags and more!

I ordered these blocks from her last year and I just love them. She uses the most beautiful paper I have ever seen to decoupage her blocks and they sell like hot cakes!

This adorable vintage garden shabby trinket box was mine the first time I laid eyes on it. She used the Cath Kidston paper she bought from my shop to make this gorgeous box. Her work is perfection you can see no flaws she is a perfectionist and it shows.

She added paper to all sides of this lovely trinket box as you can see. I love the combination of all of the beautiful papers it reminds me of a patchwork quilt.

I have been listing new items in my shop this week from fabrics to trims to scrapbook paper! These are just a couple of the new items in my shop. I'm going to be adding more polka dot items. I joined my first swap party on Cutie Pie Cottage it was a Dotty Swap where you had to give three polka dot items to your partner. When I looked through my studio for polka dots I had hardly any and I love polka dots so I ordered some trims.

I'm going to have to start creating and doing tutorials for my blog I get so inspired when I look at everyone's beautiful blogs and my linky parties. Speaking of which it's that time of week again. Thank you to everyone who participated in the last linky party there were so many lovely photos.

Oh my goodness it has been a super busy week!! I had to make myself stop and sit and do a blog post because I miss it and miss my freinds too! I wanted to do more tutorials but I haven't been able to fit it into my schedule I think with the new baking business I need to readjust my schedule a bit to fit it all in.

I have received some new fabrics in my shop and already sold out of two of them. I am working on building up my fabric bundles selection so stay tuned for more bundles!

I apologize for the delay in posting this is my busiest time of year with everyone ordering Valentine supplies. I miss blogging and hope to stay on top of things.

Some of you noticed some changes to my blog well I want to thank Keren from Free Pretty Things For You for making these changes possible. She set up a lovely Friday Fun Link Up Party post design for me! She also added some beautiful blue lace to my blog template and placed some navigational tabs up top which I am still working on getting set up.

My Romantic Homes Magazine Has Arrived!

I received my beautiful February issue of Romantic Homes the other day and it's gorgeous!! Oh I love receiving new magazines in the mail I always go to my favorite chair with a cup of hot tea, read and look at all of the inspiring photos. My dear friend Elyse has a pretty tutorial in there as always and they did a lovely feature on her in the "The Romantics" section! I'm so proud of her and all of her accomplishments!

I also have my largest ad yet in a national magazine it was bigger than I thought it would be! Lisa Doyle ad representative from Romantic Homes did a beautiful job she is such a sweet lady!

My precious friend Stephanie from Sweet Monkey Tots had an ad placed right next to mine. We were so excited to advertise together!

One of the articles which I just loved was a step by step guide on how to create a beautiful french country kitchen like this!

I adore all of the yummy cupcakes in this issue!

This is a gorgeous tablescape for Valentine's Day, the roses are so lovely!

My Favorite Biscuit Recipe.... Garlic Cheese Biscuits!

I have another yummy recipe for you all! I have always loved the Red Lobster garlic cheese biscuits and use to go there many years ago just to pick them up to go with our dinner. Then I came across a recipe similar to the Red Lobster biscuits and altered it to make it even more like them. I made these last night to go with our vegetable lasagna they are best right out of the oven. My family can't get enough of these they are so delicious, I bet you can't just have one!

Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Ingredients:

2 cups of biscuit mix
2/3 cup of milk
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup of melted butter
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon of garlic salt
Italian seasoning (optional)

Preheat over to 450 degrees. Mix together biscuit mix, milk and cheese until a soft dough forms. Shape into balls and arrange on a greased cookie sheet. I use a cookie scooper it forms the perfect balls. Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown, watching carefully. Combine melted butter, garlic salt and garlic powder then brush over each biscuit as soon as they are removed from the oven. Then sprinkle each biscuit with Italian seasoning. You will love these and bake them all the time! Enjoy!

My Romantic Country Magazine Has Arrived!

My spring edition of Romantic Country magazine arrived today and I am so happy! I love this magazine I recently purchased a subscription because I had so many ads in them it cost less to just order the subscription.

It's subtitled "Flea Market Styles" and there are page after page or gorgeous photos!

There are so many French, Vintage and Shabby Chic style design ideas. I recommend this spring edition to everyone it's really inspiring and has put me in the mood for SPRING!!

This article called "Bunnies and Bows" caught my eye because of all of the pastel colors, bunnies, flowers and ribbons. I can smell the spring flowers in the air already!

I hope you all are able to pick up your copy and sit in your favorite cozy chair with a nice cup of hot tea and enjoy!

New Trims To Start Off The New Year!!!

What a better way to start of a blog post for the new year than to talk about some of my new ribbons and trims! I love receiving new supplies but ribbons and trims are my favorite of all. I added a lot of Valentine trims to my shop this time because I noticed valentine sales were picking up and I wanted to add something fresh and exciting.

This rosette trim I already carry in pink, white and lavender but I ordered burgundy, olive and ivory this time. It's a very popular trim so I expanded my color selection.

I love the ivory one it's so elegant perfect for weddings and showers.

This is my pretty hearts ribbon I have it available in RED .........

and PINK!!

Then I added a little pom pom trim of course! I love how it's wired and you can shape it and mold it I also have this pom pom trim in yellow, green, white and pink!

I received some red pom pom edge ribbon this has been another popular trim and I love the red and white together. I also have this in pink and white and blue and white.

Of course I had to order a little grosgrain. This ivory and black stripe took forever to get in because my distributor was always selling out.

Gorgeous spumoni ice cream style grosgrain ribbon!

Now this is my favorite out of all of my trims I just love it and will be ordering more colors next time.!

Yes I even have it in pink!!!

Lemon Poppy Bunt Cake Tutorial, Giveaway at Sweet Monkey Tots and Friday Fun Link Up Party #3 !!!

Friends keep telling me to do tutorials on my blog. However I am not one to make crafts like I use too I haven't been inspired to do much of anything lately. I prayed and asked the Lord if He would give me a good tutorial idea for my blog. He did as always He never fails me and He loves it when I ask Him for even the smallest things. Thank you Father! I thought well I have always loved to bake and cook maybe I will do tutorials on that.

My photos are not too great I wanted everything to be bright and cheery but we have a dark kitchen because it's centered in our home so I apologize for the dark photos. I found this recipe and altered it to a bunt cake and added my own glaze to it and lemon zest. I give these as gifts and bake them for my Dad's cafe and it's a huge hit with everyone. It's not from scratch like I usually do but it's quick and easy recipe that is semi-homemade.

Lemon Poppy Bunt Cake

Ingredients :
18-1/4 oz. pkg. lemon cake mix
3-1/2 oz. pkg. instant lemon pudding mix
4 eggs
1/2 cup of oil
1 cup of water
2 teaspoons of poppy seeds
1 teaspoons of lemon zest

Glaze:
1 cup of powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons of lemon juice

How to make the batter:
Blend all ingredients together except for the powdered sugar and lemon juice for the glaze. Pour into a greased and floured bunt cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes depending on your oven.

How to make the glaze:
In a small bowl mix the powdered sugar and lemon juice and adjust it until you reach a pourable glaze not too thin not too thick.

After removing the bunt cake from the oven let it cool for about 10 minutes before turning it upside down unto your plate. Pour glaze over the top of the cake. It's now ready to serve yumm!! Enjoy!

Friday Fun Link Up Party #2 !!!

I will be making a few changes to my blog and one of them is adding tabs that will make it easier to find things. One of the tabs will be called "My Recipe Box" where I will be posting recipes from my personal cookbook collection. I have so many people ask me for recipes so I thought I would share them with my sweet blogging ladies. As some of you know I love to bake and cook. I also bake cakes, cookies and pastries for my dad's bookstore cafe and will share some of those recipes too.

I will be posting a tutorial soon on how to make this Lemon Poppy Bunt Cake it's quick and easy!

The Olde World Christmas Shoppe

When my husband and I traveled to Asheville North Carolina in October we stopped by a gorgeous Christmas shop called The Olde World Christmas Shoppe. My husband knows that if there is a Christmas shop anywhere that we are to stop and take a peek. Don't you just love this pink feather tree the photo doesn't do it justice.

This gingerbread tree is so adorable I wanted to eat the ornaments!

I LOVE Christmas I always have and I get inspired to decorate when I enter one of these lovely shops. There are so many creative ideas and themes for decorating.

This is such a beautiful red tree with lovely poinsettias, bows, butterflies, elves and so much more.

This Christmas tree was covered in lots of gold ornaments and very elegant.

They bake fresh chocolate chip cookies and fudge right out of the oven and the whole Christmas shop smells of home.

These gingerbread houses are so sweet with lots of icing embellishments.

Our Family Christmas Tree

When I worked for an interior designer I learned how to decorate a Christmas tree professionally. You know the picture perfect trees with a theme and all matching ornaments and beautiful color schemes. Well it was fun and they turned out gorgeous but to me there is nothing like decorating a Christmas tree with handmade ornaments. The ornaments that my sister and I made in kindergarten or the ornaments my parents had when they were first married. Ornaments given to us as gifts through the years from our great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors teachers and friends. The ornaments may not match but these are the Christmas trees that hold a lot of meaning and show the love of family not the perfect commercial looking trees with all of the matching ornaments.

People say our home looks like a model home which means so much to me because I do a lot of decorating and try to make things just so and coordinate. However in our house we always reserve a corner in our study for our family Christmas tree that is not perfect and does not coordinate but is filled with love and memories. My Precious Grandma Monica May Walden

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends! We certainly did with lots of food and family. We went through the old family photos and talked about all of the happy memories. We found a Thanksgiving video of my grandma and our family from sixteen years ago so we showed it to everyone. Grandma went home to be with Jesus over two years ago so for her children and grandchildren to see her on video brought tears to our eyes. She was a beautiful women inside and out she loved Jesus and brought my sister and I up in a loving Christian home. We miss her so much and we can't wait to see her again in heaven!

Tinsel Glitter Candylight Bulbs Have Arrived!!

I just received my shipment of Candylight Tinsel Glitter Bulbs! I have been waiting for these beauties to arrive and I must say they are absolutely gorgeous!! I work closely with the owner of the Candylight Company and they are always so thoughtful to let me try out their new designs first before they hit their website. These are exclusive to my shop and I have five different colors, red, white, green, pink and aqua.

I have the swirly bulbs in stock too in aqua and pink which are also exclusive to my shop they are a huge hit.

In case I don't do another blog post this week I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! God bless you all and your families and loved ones. I am so thankful for all of the precious gifts the Lord has given me my dear precious husband, my sweet momma living with us, our precious rescue dogs, our family and freinds, being healed from a 30 year illness whoooohooooo thank you Jesus!!! our good health, our church, our beautiful home, our automobiles that run, money to pay the bills, refrigerator and pantry full of food, closet full of clean clothes, my husband's job, my business, my blogger friends, customers, facebook and twitter friends and most of all my salvation. I'm am thrilled to have finally found my best selling candy embellishments. I have been looking for these cuties for almost a year now. I kept selling out of them last year and I have so many people ask if I'm getting more in stock. I also found some new candy embellishments that I never carried before they are so yumm!

Pastel Sugar Glittered Candy Garland

The sugary candy garland sold out today and I have a couple more coming in next week. My distributor is now out of stock they only had two left so I grabbed them. I presold one already so if you want the last one just let me know and I will hold it for you. They might get more in next month but they aren't sure. I sure hope they do it's my favorite candy ever!

Glittered Candy Cane Embellishments

These are so sugary and sweet and would look adorable on a small Christmas tree. I have a customer who is making a sugar tree this Christmas and is ordering lots of my candy to decorate it. I asked her to send me a photo when it's done so I can post it on my blog. She has a pastel pink Christmas tree and a pastel blue tree. Can't wait to see her creations!

Our Wedding Anniversary

My husband and I celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary yesterday! We love each other more today than the day we were married and we didn't even know that was possible. He took the day off so we could spend the whole day together and then we went out for a romantic dinner.

I love traditional things so naturally I chose a traditional wedding gown. I picked one that had the longest train in North East Florida with a Queen Anne neckline. I felt like a princess that day!

My beautiful sisters Jean and Naomi. I'm so blessed to have sisters they are the best!

My Dad's on the far left and those are all of his siblings except for one of his sisters who couldn't make it to our wedding.

My precious parents, they were so happy Scott and I were getting married.

We were married in his grandparents church where they were married many years ago. Our church that we go to is a little country church and couldn't hold many people. One hundred and sixty people came that day it was the best day of our lives!

Scott shocked me by taking my garter off with his teeth! I'm a prim and proper sort of gal and don't like to attract a lot of attention. Everyone laughed so loud when they saw my facial expression.

Our first dance as a married couple. I remember not seeing anyone it was like we were totally alone just us in the moment. Happy Anniversary my love..... and we lived happily ever after!

Just In New Cath Kidston Items

I have added new items to my shop. I am expanding my Cath Kidston line of products.

I not only carry her stationary but some of her cupcake liners and masking tape.

Also I am happy to introduce a new pom pom trim it's the JUMBO size with a 1 inch ball instead of a 1/2 inch ball.

I had so many requests for this size so I am slowly filling my shop with some yummy colors.

I added a new color to my selection of forget me nots. Don't you just love this baby blue? So soft as sweet!

Oh I almost forgot I put together another grab bag full of trims and ribbons. These go fast you will not be disappointed with all of the goodies inside!

My TV Commercial Debut

I have some exciting news! I have my very own TV commercial airing on Dish Network. A very dear friend of mine Kim Correll TV Host of her own cooking show "Tasty Traditions" said she had a few openings for some commercials and I grabbed one up right away. She is also advertising her shop "Mizz Kim's Creations" It airs Tues and Thurs at 11:30 am EST and Wednesday at 5:30 pm EST on Dish Network channel 266. Kim has one of the best cooking shows out there. Some of you have heard me speak of her on my blog before. I just have to share this link with you it's Kim on Halloween dressed as Glenda Scarlett she is so funny!!! Kim is an actress and has stared in independent films and commercials. This is one beautiful talented and just darn right sweet lady. She always makes me smile!

Last week Kim did a wonderful cooking show called "Cooking For Man's Best Friend" She is a dog lover like me and had her fur baby "Elvis" on the show with her. What a cutie pie! I learned how to make so many wonderful doggie treats that are all natural.

As some of you know my little Belle's birthday was a few days ago so I am making her some of these treats for her belated birthday gift. Of course she will have to share with her two sisters.
By the way a big thank you to all of you precious ladies who left such sweet comments to my little Belle for her birthday! She had a wonderful birthday!

Happy Birthday Belle!

Today is our little Belle's birthday she just turned five today! Here is the story of how the Lord brought her into our lives. My husband and I were coming home from work one day and little Belle was crossing a major highway with traffic everywhere. My husband did a quick u-turn and got out of the car squatted in the median and prayed. He said "Come here girl." Belle was running right to him praise the Lord! I got out and was waiting for him to hand her to me so we could get in the car.

You know it always amazes me when people see an animal trying to cross the road and they do nothing to help them, just drive by like it's not their concern. It is a life: it breaths, it has a heartbeat, and it needs to be saved and protected just like a human life.

You could tell Belle had puppies recently but we could not find the puppies and drove around with the windows down hoping she would sniff them out in some neighborhood and react to where they were. We took her to the vet the next day and determined she was 8 months old, had worms, fleas, malnourished and was lactating. We had medicine that killed the worms, we had her fixed and fed her till she fatten up, bathed her and brushed her and gave her TONS of LOVE.

She had never seen a dog toy before and we have a huge basket filled with dog toys. She would sit on my lap and watch her fur sisters play and run and squeak their toys. She didn't know what they were or what to do with them. After a couple of weeks she took a toy and sniffed it, squeaked it, then ran through the house with it. I cried. It broke my heart that she was so deprived of everything just like some children are. She now goes through the basket of toys and takes out several trying to get to the one she wants to play with.

We prayed and asked the Lord to guide us on what to do when we brought her home. We already had three large dogs and no room not to mention our neighborhood association doesn't let us have more than three dogs - not that it would stop me. The Lord put it on our hearts to keep her not foster her because she was a gift from Him. Our 17 year old German Shepherd passed away two weeks later and having little Belle helped fill the loss a little bit. We concentrated on her and helping her which got our minds off of the loss of our Bingo.

(Belle likes to gather her daddy's slippers and sleep with them in her bed, it makes her feel close to him)
Belle is an amazing dog. We don't know where she came from or her past but we have had her for four years now and I must say she is such a huge blessing in our lives. Jesus, thank you for your furry creatures that roam the earth you must have known how much joy they would bring your children.
We love you Belle happy birthday little one!

My New Blog Makeover Designed By Keren!

So what do you think of my blog makeover? I am so excited about my new blog template. A very dear friend of mine had her blogs made over by Keren from Free Pretty Things For You. I went crazy over all of the cuteness that I just had to ask her to design me a new blog too. I asked her to make it sugary sweet and for it to match my website. She went above and beyond my dreams and made this such a happy place to be! She even made the little girl with red hair and green eyes so I now have my very own mini me!

Keren is so precious and dear to my heart. She not only is extremely talented but also is very generous, kind and the sweetest person you will ever meet. This blog makeover has been such an uplifting experience for me I love going to my blog now. I am so very proud to show off Keren's work. Thank you Keren for everything you are a blessing to us all!

More Fabric Bundles Arrived!

Scott's 30th Birthday!

My precious husband just turned 30 today! To celebrate we went to Savannah Georgia for the weekend and stayed at a Bed and Breakfast.

This was the outside of the bed and breakfast we stayed at it was called Savannah Bed & Breakfast Inn. The street leading to it had a canopy of trees covered with moss it was so southern and very beautiful! The parks were the prettiest we have ever seen.

We had a lovely room with a four poster bed and fireplace. We also had our own little library too.

I love the moss growing on the trees we have it here in north Florida too but it just seems even more beautiful in Savannah.

We went to Tybee Island and toured downtown Savannah. We drove by Paula Deen's restaurant and shop but here were so many people there my anxiety kicked in and I just couldn't stop. We will try to stop by there next time we are in Savannah.

This is the beautiful City Hall of Savannah. We had so much fun and really enjoyed our precious time together. Happy Birthday sweetie I love you so much!!!

New Millinery Flowers Are Here!

I have been receiving shipments of new items for my shop almost everyday! This is one I'm very excited about I just love these Spring forget me not millinery flowers. They have to be my all time favorite they have such a soft pastel color to them.

These are a gorgeous fuchsia color they are even prettier in person.

These pink, white and cream color forget me nots are so pretty and very elegant.

This is something new to my shop gorgeous pink satin rose picks. I may carry more colors in the near future.

New German Glass Glitter, Butterfly Trims and Satin Rosettes

I just received my order or german glass glitter! I love these colors they remind me so much of candy. I have never carried these colors before they are Pink Champagne, Pale Blue and Spring Green.

I also received more of the popular pink butterfly and flower ribbon. This is one of the very first trims I stocked in my shop and it has been such a hit. I ordered a pale blue color this time too.

I have been selling a lot of my pink satin rosettes so I ordered another set with a different color combination.

More fabrics and millinery flowers are on the way. I will post about them when they arrive. I hope you all have a blessed day!

Some More Of My New Items Arrived!!

Happy Saturday! I received my shipment of supplies that I was telling you about in my last post. I have been trying to take photos in between all of the thunderstorms we have been having. I'm so excited about getting these soaps in my shop! I bought the buttons for decorations for my studio and thought they would be perfect for my shop. Then when I saw the Fruit Loop Bowl of course I had to get that one too!

I just love this beautiful lace it is a pale pink color. The swags are what really got me I have always loved the swag design.

I added new Halloween trims too this is just a sample of some of the trims that I listed in my shop.

This is such a pretty Christmas trim I love the gold glittery look!

Yummy Grosgrain this reminded me of chocolate covered cherries hence the name!

I am still waiting on my new glitter colors to arrive they should be in later in the week. I hope you all have a lovely weekend!! God bless!!!

New Items At Sugar Pink Boutique!

I have been filling my shop with new items and some good ole favorites! I am gearing up for the big Halloween and Christmas shopping spree that starts every September. I just received some sweet embellishments for my shop, Cupcakes and sugar coated Peppermints!

German Glass Glitter in Gold just in time for those Christmas craft projects!

Also I have Black for those Halloween projects and more colors are arriving this week!

I found this soft and sweet trim called Pale Pink Bunny Tail Pom Pom Trim. It's one of my favorite trims, I have so many I know but this one is really adorable!

Also I received another shipment of the Shabby Chic Fabric for those of you that were inquiring about them. I sold out so quickly last time and just sold more from this batch.

I know some of you were asking when I would get more Candylights in stock and I received my shipment of bulbs and strands the other day so my shop is stocked. I am going to be getting in more Swirly Candylight Bulbs those sold out in a couple of days. They should be in by the end of the month. They are making them especially for my shop so they are exclusive!

More goodies to come later this week from Halloween Trims to Decorative Soaps! I will be blogging about them as soon as they arrive.

I'm In Romantic Country Magazine!

I have my very first advertisement in a national magazine and I'm so excited! My friend Kim emailed me and said I just received my Fall edition of Romantic Country magazine and opened it up and there you were! My husband and I ran out and bought a copy. It's through Shabby Cottage Shops and they did a beautiful job! I am so pleased with their design work and will be advertising with them in the future.

I also had my photos featured in the Sweet Paul Magazine for an ad for the Candylight company. All of them are mine except the Easter tree photo. This is such an exciting venture for me and I have more to come!

The Shabby Chic Fabrics Arrived!

I was so happy to see the beautiful fabric that came in yesterday! I LOVE fabrics as most of you know. I put them together in fat quarter bundles and tied them up with aqua seam binding and embellished it with a little satin yellow rose.

I did a photo shoot this morning and placed them in my shop today. I know so many of you wanted to know when they would arrive so that is why I did a quick post about it. I hope you all have a blessed day!

My Treasures Arrived Yesterday!

My goodies just arrived from some of my favorite shops! I just love this aqua tinkered can and clothespins from tinkered treasures. I have been loving her goodies ever since I spotted them on her blog.

These clothespins are so adorable I'm going to put them on my heart garland above my crafting table to hang notes. Thank you so much Elyse your treasures make me so happy and so does your gorgeous blog!

I just love these cabochons this collection is called "The Cottage Cupcake Assortment" from Popalicious Too!

I also ordered these cuties "Cottage Style Red Pink Raspberry and Blue" I have no idea what I am going to make with these lovelies but I will think of something. Meanwhile I am storing them in my pretty ceramic bowl. Thank you Pops for making these adorable buttons I can't stand all of the cuteness!

My Sugar Pink Boutique Studio

People keep requesting to see more photos of my studio so I thought I would share them on my blog. This is my work station where I cut all of my trims, weigh the glitter count the beads and all of the other fun stuff.

This is where I keep most of my trim collection for my shop. I ran out of room a long time ago and now have to store my trims in baskets throughout my studio.

This is a curio cabinet my mother-in-law gave me and I have yet to finish painting it white! I have to be inspired to paint but hopefully I will soon because I am so tired of looking at a half finished project. I store supplies in the cabinet below and put all of my Grandma's treasures in the top part of the curio. It makes me feel closer to her having her things in my studio.

This is where I store my corsage pins, glitters, paints, flowers and beads and all.

Some of you have seen this photo already but I thought I would share it again since it's part of my studio. This is some of my sweet sugar cottage collection. I have added a few more this past Christmas since this photo was taken. I just love these adorable cottages and they are becoming more difficult to find.

This is where I store my personal collection of Candylights. I like to put them in canning jars and paint the lids pink and have my own candy stash of bulbs.

The bottle brush tree you see on the top shelf was purchased without decorations, so I embellished it with little flowers and pink and blue strands of pearls. I added a pretty pearl pink satin embellishment to the top of the tree. The ceramic container it sits in was only $1.00 and I placed a floral decal on it to make it look even more shabby chic. I think the tree cost me about $10.00 to make. It's simple but nice.

These are some goodies that I purchased from some lovely etsy sellers and the lamp is a gift from a friend of mine, she purchased it on etsy too. I hope you enjoyed your tour of my studio and when I finish painting the curio I will post it on my blog.

The gorgeous shabby chic blocks are handmade by Birds and Blossoms. She is such a sweetie and so talented! Her blocks sell out so fast but she has all sorts of adorable handmade goodies. Her shop is a must see!

The precious dress form pin cushion was made by Rose Cottage Boutique. I just love this it's so beautiful and has a lot of detail. I have never seen anything like it and I was thrilled to purchase it before anyone else did. This lady takes pride in her work and every tiny detail!

The cute bunnies and heart cupcake stands are made by Jean Knee from the Polka Dot Shop. I love her shop and have purchased from her several times. She is such a doll and makes the cutest creations!

I love purchasing pretty things for my studio. Everyone who walks into my studio says the same thing it's a "Happy Room". After Easter Sale!

A peek at my after Easter clearance sale goodies! I paid $3.50 for all of these little treasures. The set of six glittered Easter eggs are actually candles. They had one set left so I snatched it at $0.70. The bowl was only $2.50 it isn't an Easter clearance but it is very Spring looking and was a great deal.

I also only paid $0.30 for the oval Easter box with the chicks it was the last one too. I was very pleased with all of my purchases.

I received the cutest gifts from the Easter bunny! I just love these pastel glittered eggs from The Illusive Swan. My mom and husband bought them for me for my Easter gift.

Vintage Baby Cards

New Spring Trims Arrived !!!!

I just received a shipment of some new trims yesterday! I love getting new supplies to add to my sugar shop. I enjoy the touch and feel of them and the colors are so much like candy. I have a couple of them in my shop already but I need to take photos of the others and put them in my shop.

I really think the felt floral ribbon in the pink and green is gorgeous. It is 1.5 inches wide and more beautiful in person than in the photo.

I also took some photos of the ribbons I don't sell in my shop but I use them for crafting.

I have a couple of ribbon dowels I hang them on to keep them organized. They really brighten up my studio with all of the pretty colors and designs.

I have been organizing my studio and I thought I would take a few photos. These are some of my favorite things in my studio. I have purchased so many of these lovely treasures from very talented ladies on Etsy. I purchased this sweet matryoshka doll and handbag doorstop from "Our Shabby Cottage"

The Santa was purchased from a gorgeous shop called "The Illusive Swan". Someday I will make enough money to purchase everything in her shop. The shabby chic lamp was a gift from a very precious friend Stephanie. She also purchased it on Etsy but I don't know what shop. Stephanie has a gorgeous shop herself called "Sweet Monkey Tots". She has boutique style baby items they are so adorable! Her shop is a must see!

I purchased this super cute sign from another sweet Stephanie she has a beautiful shop called "Stefs Cottage". She also made the two Marie Antoinette wall hangings you see in the first two photos. One of them she gave me as a gift. I sure do get spoiled by my friends.

I have been working so hard trying to get my website up and going. Being that I left etsy so quickly and unexpectedly I didn't want to disappoint my customers by not having any supplies up for sale. I have so many sellers that depend on me for their supplies for their businesses.

I have 21 more items to list out of 268 items so I am almost done listing! The free shipping promotion is really taking off so I am pleased. I Am Starting A New Business Venture

Hello to all of my sweet friends who follow my blog! I'm sorry I have been away for so long. I guess you noticed my new look for my blog. I haven't been on here in a while and someone informed me my photo buckets were messed up. Turns out the blog template I was using was discontinued and so I had to search for a new one. So here it is with sweet little bluebirds keeping with my shop theme.

As some of you know I left Etsy and now I am working on my new website Sugar Pink Boutique. I will be opening in the Spring! It's taking a lot longer than I thought I have to resize over 500 photos and figure out how to work the shopping cart and all of the behind the scenes mechanics. I also have to list over 250 items. I had no idea opening a website would be this much work but boy it is going to be so worth it!

I have decided to not wait until everything is listed in my shop before I open because then I won't open until the summer. I am going to open when I get some items in there and just keep adding items everyday. Until then I have a temporary site set up on Artfire.

Thank you so much to all of my customers and friends for your sweet emails. They have been pouring in since I closed my shop last week. I didn't know I made that much of an impact on Etsy I feel so loved. You all mean so much to me and I am thankful for your love and kindness. That's very important in life, sharing a smile, being kind to one another, helping each other and showing God's love to others. I just met the sweetest lady who has one of the most lovely shops I have seen on etsy called Lynn's Trinkets and Treasures. She makes the most adorable vintage inspired cones, ornaments, brooches and many other goodies. They are mostly holiday inspired so right now she has lots of Valentine treats in her shop. New Arrivals at Sugar Pink Boutique

I want to apologize to my faithful followers of my blog I have been so busy and haven't had time to blog. My sales have increased dramatically praise the Lord for that but I haven't had time to do anything else that I enjoy doing.

I'm running out of so many supplies I had to order more millinery flowers, candylights, trims, ribbons and paper for my Jennifer's Cozy Cottage shop. In the process of ordering all of these things I have been adding new trims and color choices. I like to keep my shop fresh and always have new supplies coming in so my customers don't get board with the same old supplies.

I just wanted to share a few photos of some goodies that came in the other day. More to come this week and next week!

Announcing Studio Aloha Designs!

A very dear and precious friend of mine has just opened her own website! She use to have a shop on Etsy called Scrappy Shack and was well known for her original die cut designs. She had developed quite a following and since then has left Etsy to venture off on her own. Her website is called Studio Aloha Designs where she now sells designer files for your paper cutter. The files are compatible to Xyron, Wishblade, Quickutz Silhouette, Craft Robo, Klic n Kut, and the Cricut. These are her own original designs and they are amazing!

The last two photos are just samples of what her design team has created with her gorgeous designs. She has been published in Paper Crafts magazine among other publications. Please check out her new website and her lovely new blog!

More Candylight Colors Arrived Today

The candy lights are selling really well so I ordered a couple more different colors and added them to my shop today. I just had to get the Cotton Candy Aqua and I thought I would try a couple of the cute Halloween theme lights too. One of the Halloween sets already sold!

I bought this yummy sweet Christmas ribbon the other day for my sugar shop and just had to mention it on my blog! As you all know I love anything with candy or cupcakes so naturally I had to purchase this cute ribbon. It has the most adorable peppermint candies and silver glitter accents. I'm going to use some of it for my Christmas craft projects I have in mind but haven't had time to make.

I came across an ad for these adorable candy lights and just had to purchase some for my sugar shop! I'm so excited about these yummy lights I bought some for my studio too. I only ordered a few colors for my shop because I wanted to make sure they would sell before I invest anymore. If these are a success I will be ordering more colors, styles and themes. I wanted so much to get the Fall and Halloween light strands but had to restrain myself. Please let me know what you think!

These bulbs would be so pretty on a white or cream shabby chic style chandelier. Being that I don't have a chandelier right now I'm using a pink one for my night light in my studio.

A very sweet customer of mine has an adorable etsy shop where she sells her popular Jingle Sox. Her shop is called Deekie Belle Designs. When I saw her Jingle Sox for the first time I was so impressed. She uses the most beautiful high quality fabric and she really pays attention to detail. Sugar Church Cottage

I just made my first sugar cottage the other day to add to my candy cottage collection. I always purchase these from talented etsy artists but I thought I would try making one of my own with the supplies I had on hand. It's not nearly as pretty as the others but I'm still learning the ins and outs. It was so much fun to make and that's the important thing.

It made itself right at home in my sugar cottage village collection.

I have been collecting these adorable sugary glitter cottages from different etsy sellers for about a year now. I just love them and this yellow one is my latest addition. I bought it from Marilee Jane Designs. She did a beautiful job in decorating this little beauty right down to the cute little curtains in the windows.

I have a little corner in my studio just for my little glitter candy cottages. I call it the candy village. The cute swirl glitter lollipop trees are from Pieceful Bits. She also created four of the cottages I have in my village. I just lover her creations!

Celestina Marie Designs La Rea Rose made the shabby chic pink cottage on the far right with the hand painted roses. She does gorgeous artwork!

I purchased this sugar shack sign from Stef's Cottage on Etsy! I have bought so many beautiful shabby chic creations from her shop! Stephanie is such a talented artist and the sweetest lady ever. She is very accommodating and even made me a custom sign for my Sugar Pink Boutique studio. I will be posting more of her creations that I have displayed in my studio in future posts. I use this shelf to store some of my vintage lace and trim. I bought the containers at Target from the dollar bin. The rack was my Mom's she was getting rid of it so I said I would take it. It was green and I painted it pink my favorite color. I cut some pretty tags and attached them to the containers. The blue pail is from the Target dollar bin too. And there you have it very inexpensive storage.

I made these pretty little dresses last night out of some Cath Kidston papers. I drew the template and cut it out. I wanted it simple with just a little red seam binding for the sash. I might make more later with some lace and glitter and millinery flowers.

I thought I would show a couple more photos of my studio. The chest of drawers that you can't really see is my husband's old baby changing table. It's an oak wood but I plan on painting it someday. For now I have a pretty piece of shabby chic fabric laying over it and I'm going to be sewing some of my dangling pom pom trim on it for a little girly look. The three tired stand in the middle is from Home Interiors it was a mahogany brown and I painted it pink of course. The little pink pails were 2 for $1.00 in the Target dollar bin. I store my popular crystal candy pins in them. The tea cups are filled to the rim with berry beads of different candy colors. I have everything in my studio organized to where I can have easy access when filling orders. The memory board was purchased at an antique shop years ago and I put sweet little cards and notes from my friends and customers on there.

Ribbons, prima flowers and buttons are stored on this wall organizer. The little round tin canisters with flowers and polka dots were from Michael's dollar bin.

I am cleaning out my studio and came across these beautiful Cath Kidston stationary sets. I have collected beautiful stationary over the years because I just love pretty things and with stationary you can find so many lovely patterns and designs. I have so much of this stationary that I'm selling it in my Etsy shop Sugar Pink Boutique. You could use these sweet papers for cardmaking, scrapbooking, gift tags or anything else you can think of making. One lady used Cath Kidston paper to decoupage gorgeous drawer knobs. It was so pretty! I'm going to use some of this paper to cover some journals.

I purchased this cute little cupcake trinket box at the Cracker Barrel country store. It was displayed with all of the children's toys but it was so cute I just had to have it. I added the pink satin Scottie dog because I felt it needed a little something extra cute.

These are some of the yummy berry beads I have in my Sugar Pink Boutique shop! I started out with pink and have been adding more and more colors as the months go by. I think they are addictive! I've been told they look edible but I don't think they would have much flavor. I have them stored in mason jars in my studio. I'm going to be getting some of those vintage style candy jars that you see in the old candy shops and store them in there before long.

I have always loved fabrics since I was a little girl. When I studied interior design in high school and college I developed more of a love and knowledge for textiles. Floral is my favorite of all patterns and I love stripes and polka dots as well. Light pinks, blues, creams and greens are some of my favorite colors.

I just wanted to share a couple of pictures of little corners of my studio. My studio is painted a baby blue and decorated with shabby chic/cupcake/candy themed items. It is still a work in progress. Right now I'm painting a large curio cabinet that my mother-in-law gave me. It is a dark wood color and I'm painting it white and lining the back of it with vintage wallpaper. This is just a sample of some of the candy color seam binding I have. I just love the softness and the sheen of this ribbon. I keep adding more colors to my shop this yummy ribbon is addictive! I use it for so many of my craft projects from gift tags to bookmarks to wall hangings. It's a must have for your craft supply collection.

This is one of the urns on our patio. I placed it next to one of the columns that has confederate jasmine growing on it. I just love to garden it's very therapeutic. My grandpa taught me a lot about horticulture when I was a little girl. He had acres of land and horses and a huge vegetable garden. I miss my precious grandpa. He taught me so much! Because of him I now have my own vegetable garden.
