Victorian Style Ephemera

I have been going through all of the goodies in my studio today trying to organize things and get rid of some things. This is something I shall keep, my old ephemera collection of Victorian images and doilies. I have always had an attraction to these beautiful images.

Our old house use to be decorated in a lovely Victorian style then when we built the house we are in now I changed it to a traditional style of decorating.

I shall always keep a small part of my Victorian days tucked away in my little dresser drawer for old time sake.

  1. I, too, just love these sweet images. I had so many growing up as many of these images I recognize from past Valentine school parties. I wish I had kept a box full of them, but my mom was not a keeper and I imagine, that eventually she would have disposed of them. lol!
    Wonderful post!

    1. Oh I am so glad you liked the post Jil! I can remember some of those images too. I wish I had saved my old Valentine cards but when you are little you don't think about things like that. My mom never saved anything either. Thank you so much for your sweet comment! Have a blessed weekend, Jennifer ♥

  3. Oh Jennifer, it was so nice to hear from you. I have been really bad about posting and visiting blogs myself for quite a while. I try to pop in and visit, but when you have so much going on in the real world, the blog world just has to be a lower priority! Who wouldn't love kissing and playing with my new little granddaughter instead of blog hopping, right? Anyhow, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and that this new year is your best ever. I am cleaning out the basement, ugggh. It has been almost a week of nearly full-time days cleaning and organizing and hauling stuff up for the Goodwill. We moved in boxes when we built the house 7 years ago that haven't been opened, and I have been piling stuff on top of the boxes all this time. It is horrible. I have been waiting for the Hoarders show to come knocking on the door to ask to film in the basement. Actually, it's just half the basement, the other half is my sewing room and studio. Well, it will be finished in a few days I think and I will be one happy girl!!! Thanks for visiting and leaving the nice comment, I was so happy to hear from you!
    Hugs,
    Julie

It's so good to see you on my blog! I know what you mean about the real world and blog world I thought it was just me. I won't be so hard on myself. Your granddaughter is so precious she is an angel! I bet you gave her lots of hugs and kisses! Yes we had a wonderful Christmas the Lord really blessed us. Girlfriend I wish I had your energy and motivation. I was doing well cleaning out my studio for a while and now I am pooped! We built our house 7 years ago too! You are so blessed to have a basement to pile stuff in we have an attic and it is so packed we have been getting rid of things. You gave me a chuckle with the Hoarders show! I haven't seen your studio since the shelves where built so I know it must be even more beautiful now. I am thrilled to hear from you I miss you bunches sweet lady! Hugs, Jennifer xoxo
